Anyone here make steel cut rice in a rice cooker? Or have a rice cooker that has porridge/oatmeal mode? I want to possibly upgrade mine, but if I do I want one that can do oatmeal without a huge mess. If you have done this, what kind of rice cooker was it?

@Alairthephoenix I *love* making overnight steel cut oats in my zojirushi rice cooker. I use the porridge mode and the clock feature to have the oats ready to eat at 6:20am. Also I add dried fruit, nuts, cinnamon and other mix ins which cook up nicely.

@Alairthephoenix my Zojirushi rice cooker has a porridge setting that works beautifully with steel cut oats, if you want them on the soupier side. Or you can just do it like regular rice and they'll be more like a sticky rice consistency.
