I'd rather say that ants are wasps without wings (except when ants do have wings) and files are just ... deeply strange. They only have one pair of proper wings. Who does that?

@futurebird @Gorfram @keineidee I read a scifi series once that put forward a scenario where after discovering sentient life in space humans took another look to find sentient life on earth and so, once we had better translation machines, there ended up being a bunch of people employed by wasps. The wasps had a lot of nasty things to say about bees and ants.
