@noahshachtman@mstdn.social How could the love-child of Hunter Thompson and Jabba the Hutt turn out to be a Cheeto?

@noahshachtman@mstdn.social I always thought they look like lizard people because of the drugs.

@noahshachtman@mstdn.social Watch a YouTube video of Trump decades ago and now. He could speak in very convoluted abstract sentences, now often just children's language. Cocaine can do something like that.

@noahshachtman@mstdn.social Ronny Jackson's in Texas. He's protected and no one will do a damn thing about him.

@noahshachtman@mstdn.social I'm glad the article addresses the question of how normal this is compared to earlier administrations: "[W]hile prescription drugs have long been in the White House — John F. Kennedy reportedly took a cocktail of uppers and downers to fight back pain, and Richard Nixon allegedly took an anti-epileptic drug “when his mood wasn’t too good” — they have rarely been dispensed as widely as they were in the Trump years."

@noahshachtman@mstdn.social I will never (sniff) forget (sniff) Trump's first debate (sniff) with Hillary in 2016. Anyone could see and hear it then as clear as day, yet it got flushed down the memory hole before the election. Trump's unintelligible, unhinged speeches and bizarre behaviour are not 3D chess moves, they are the actions of an old junkie who's been abusing drugs for decades. Just the guy you want to have his finger on the nuclear button (again).

@noahshachtman@mstdn.social I think it's an even bigger deal that they were hassling therapists for details of what patients said in private psychological counseling sessions, as the second half of the article relates.

@noahshachtman@mstdn.social He can only work with sycophants. I wonder if there is a connection.
