As someone old enough to remember the "oil embargo" of the 1970s, and alternate day gas lines, this seems a big deal, geopolitically.

@pseudonym@mastodon.online I find that quite interesting actually wondering what it will do to the free flow of oil without the Saudi’s controlling everything. Here in the US we are less dependent because Joe Biden permitted a lot of oil drilling.

@pseudonym@mastodon.online I do indeed remember the oil embargo of the 1970s. I drove a Volkswagen and I would run it to empty because there was no gas.
