@soapdog @elena gotosocial doesn't come with a client you can use to read your timeline and post; that doesn't mean it lacks any HTML generating code whatsoever read-only permalinks and profiles work fine out of the box; you just need a separate client for logged-in things

@soapdog hi! thanks for reaching out. @technomancy already gave you a perfect response. Just adding to it: the formatting you see at https://aseachange.com/@elena is the default theme of GoToSocial, but you could pick lots of other pre-packaged themes too for the style of the account page. To interact with people, there are SO MANY options out there. Right now I'm using https://masto-fe.superseriousbusiness.org/ because I love the multi-column view, but on any given day I also use https://phanpy.social to catch up with toots of friends. And there is also https://elk.zone that looks a lot like Twitter 1.0 (RIP). Keep me posted on how the installation goes and enjoy!!! P.S.: the first thing you want to do is upload Seirdy's Tier0 block lists https://seirdy.one/posts/2023/05/02/fediverse-blocklists/
