@soapdog Last time I had a popular post on HN, they dug into my past and thought it was highly toxic that I've worked with some of the same people for more than a few years…

@sean @soapdog i knew there was a reason i don't blog anymore (seriously. not Hacker News, but having someone pop up on a comment site who had clearly gone around the internet finding out everything i'd ever posted anywhere, in order to have "a proper argument" as far as i could tell, made me basically scrub my internet presence immediately. fortunately, i took the lessons about being pseudonymous on the internet to heart early, so there was a limit to what they could find... but still)
