@joshix @arch @lunareclipse 1) because authenticity is important. data URIs don't provide a lot of utility in my opinion, and restricting ourselves to only HTTPS simplifies clients. 2) I don't like this feature either, and normal caching mechanisms are also explicitly encouraged. The point of this hash is that the client can calculate it itself. 3) Not yet, I want to write a utility script for my website for this soon.
