Butter beans are a larger bean to harvest dry and store that you should look at. They also have a shorter cultivation time to runner beans. I grow two excellent varieties of butter bean called Greek and Czar.

@Broadfork Ah, interesting. I will look into it. So far I grow only broad beans for havesting actual beans instead of green pods. But I usually eat them fresh, because I don't have so many to having to store them.
