@jiub it's a nice stable voltage over the entire life instead of the typical alkaline discharge slope. silver oxide and zinc air batteries are pretty similar, but zinc air is essentially only used for hearing aides because they discharge continuously the moment you unseal them.

@jiub my watch will happily run off a normal watch battery, despite the higher voltage, because it just raises the amplitude of the tuning fork and you can adjust it to work properly. some cameras don't mind a different voltage, but some do. Mine theoretically doesn't care, but it has some problem i still need to troubleshoot

@timmy@goblin.camp sucks when something useful like that ends up being so toxic lol but i guess with modern electronics the unstable voltage is rarely a problem (and when it is it can be efficiently and cheaply regulated)
