Implementation-wise it’s also very cool that we produce a single static binary now. We can do tricks like use the lorri binary inside the wrapper drv nix code, and all we need to do is pass $0 as a path to the nix expression (it will be copied to the store and has no runtime dependencies). Stuff that would be so, so much more complicated if there were dynamic libraries attached like they are with rust.
