@catilac@infosec.exchange @sableraph@genart.social I'm guessing you did consider matrix? :) It has been rapidly improving these last 2-3 years to the point I'd have no second thoughts about opening up new communities there instead of Discord, especially when if you recommend the happy path (Element client + matrix.org homeserver). Interested to hear any concerns though! (DM if you don't want to invite drive-by comments)

@catilac@infosec.exchange Matrix for text? Has its own problems but is something at least. For live calling, I love jitsi, it's conferencing software but it works great, simple and FOSS. There's the main instance (that requires account for host) and also meet.evolix.org that is open. @sableraph@genart.social

"X and I" is only "X and I" when you would say "I" when it's only you, like "I hang out with friends". You don't say "Me hang out with my friends". "Sableraph and me hang out with my friends" is arguably wrong, I agree 100%. "Sableraph and I hang out with my friends" is better, and I am glad that the English speaking world noticed it, but you over-corrected and now have a similar mistake, but backwards. "My friends hang out with I" is wrong, and so is "My friends hang out with Sableraph and I".
