@kitkat_blue @joelle Drone warfare has been the status quo for twenty-odd years already, though. They didn't need this latest wave of generative AI for that; the machine learning models they needed are in a package called Maven, which Palantir sells https://www.theguardian.com/news/2026/mar/26/ai-got-the-blame-for-the-iran-school-bombing-the-truth-is-far-more-worrying

@clayote @joelle (Yes, kill chain compression is a problem as is garb-in-garb-out. Maven *is* using gen-ai tho.) I wasn't implying so much about what there is now than about where it's going. Lethal autonomous weapons systems are not possible without (/LLM) gen-ai (ty) and fully autonomous weapon systems are the holy grail of the nation state's.
