@valerie @zkat there's literally no valid use case for AI. People are being shunned because of the harm AI causes, which isn't even limited to the political & environmental consequences. AI effectively gives people the same brain damage CEOs get from having their worst ideas validated. It turns people worse. There's zero excuse to allow it, & "some people fantasize about escaping poverty through it" being a valid excuse would absolve literally anything, even joining ICE/police.

@vex @valerie @zkat It is interesting, but not my experience I have found LLMs to be hugely powerful tools that multiply my reach. I am outraged that so many capitalists think they can replace people with it, they should plan on making the people they have more productive This is an industrial revolution that is going to cause all sorts of painful disruption before we find out what it is not good for...
