@nihilistic_capybara @zkat @jokeyrhyme You want to defend using LLMs and asking it to estimate the time you need for items on your to do list is the best you could think of? Why do you even think about doing this? I don't want to be rude or for you to feel bad, but this usecase sounds really silly.

@Papaexmatrikulatus @zkat @jokeyrhyme no. that's a fair question and I must admit it sounds dumb. And you are not being rude at all. So I have really bad ADHD and pretty bad time blindness so i overplan the number of tasks and then fail to do everything. And then I just sit there until 4 am in the morning crunching. Its part of a bigger systems that has sanity checks baked in. I ask real humans for that whenever I can but sometimes I can't.

@Papaexmatrikulatus @zkat @jokeyrhyme and I am not really defending llms. I simply believe that my personal use won't change anything. Its the carbon footprint astroturfed movement all over again. I believe the companies who do all this shit need to be held accountable and that everything else is a distraction. I believe anything that fragments society exactly like in the original post is the wrong direction. We need to get the metaphorical guillotines out and make the people in charge pay
