One of the best compliments I’ve ever received was when the checker at the grocery store, a new teen who hadn’t yet learned not to comment on people’s groceries, told me “most people don’t buy this many vegetables”

Key exception to the #1 rule of grocery checkers (i.e. don’t comment)—Trader Joe’s checkers *MUST* comment on one (1) item you have purchased to say how much they love it, too
