My favorite part is how they think they understand. They always think they do. Indistinguishable from arguing with an above average Trump supporter. Or religion for a less inflammatory comparison. Its called Believe Perseverance. What’s weird is how widely it get applied. We’re not even talking about specific ideologies but it’s still being used as a defense mechanism.
