@rood my brother's girlfriend has informed me that in Latvia they say "those who have no courgette/ zucchini in their pantry in the Summer have no friends" because: courgettes / zucchinis will produce a lot and you cannot eat it all yourself. You can have a plant in a large pot and it will be happy enough with a sunny spot. You can also become the herbs person and make a Mediterranean herbs mix to give everyone: oregano, rosemary, thyme, parsley.
