Hey #mastodon what is the best alternative to #microsoft sharepoint? I am currently a #windows user but Im working on switching to #linuxmint Ive seen a lot of discourse around #nextcloud vs #opencloud but i have heard that they arent well optimized and have some security issues, so im open to suggestions from tech savvy people Because it apparently needs to be said, i am looking for #NoAi slop #linux #opensource #tech #technology please #boost for reach!

@ashesx2xashes@mastodon.social For pure knowledge management you should go for a wiki engine like XWiki or Mediawiki. For project management I suggest Open Project. For messaging Matrix. If you also need calendar and address book management, file sharing and online document editing, give Nextcloud a try, which adds also the above mentioned areas/features as apps (Deck, Talk, ...). Of course, all of them need good knowledge of running server software ... or a provider that runs it for you.
