Am I the only one who never felt that Deanna Troi was particularly attractive? I mean, she’s okay (enough that it doesn’t detract from other traits), but not above average. Yet she’s often presented as if she’s supposed to be eye candy for the show.

I agree. She’s obviously attractive, but just not my type at all. I doubt either of us would say no if she walked up to us though.
