Unfortunately a whole lot of people shrug and say "I dunno." or "I don't care." A whole lot more are manipulated into voting against their own interests, and another majority don't understand that, in a democracy, nobody gets everything thery want, so they stay home and bitch instead of doing the work.

If one reply sickened me it was 20 year olds declaring ’I don’t do politics’. I wanted to scream at times ‘do you know how effin government works?’
