@exyi @opensourceopenmind @manankanchu that’s complicated, the server should have a very specific version of map files, because we change/update the map data format frequently. Otherwise the client won’t work or even crash.

@organicmaps Ok, I understand that. However it seems like a reasonable compromise that'd need to rebuild the maps on each app update, if you detect the version mismatch and show a reasonable error (which should be a matter of adding version number at the start of the file or filename)
