Does this sound somehow familiar? Bhagavad Gita 18.25 (https://www.holy-bhagavad-gita.org/chapter/18/) That action is declared to be in the mode of ignorance, which is begun out of delusion, without thought to one’s own ability, and disregarding consequences, loss, and injury to others. I've been reading the Bhagavad Gita out of curiosity, and this struck me as a particularly accurate assessment.
