@anilmc I'm not sure how much I can add to my early morning thought. I've seen fire described as if it were living, and there was a supplement to the Fate TTRPG about role-playing as a team of firefighters that had a section on understanding building fires that described fires having life cycles -- seeking food, growing, etc. I imagine you can think of setting up a contained fire, like a campfire or a fire in a stove, as analogous to growing a plant.
