@molly0xfff as a business reporter, I appreciate the constructive criticism and vocabulary suggestions, but I don't think readers care if you add the word "notional." The takeaway number is the same. More importantly, I don't think anything you're saying is unique to crypto. Real estate trades are generally in fiat currency, but buyers rarely hold the money for more than a few hours, and never had the money to pay for a house in the first place (it's all financed).
