@sil It took me almost-fifty years of working with computers, but I FINALLY realized that what I actually want is dark mode when it's dark and light mode when (surprise!) it's light, so I now have a Rube Goldberg contraption of scripts to trigger changes at sunrise (actually first log-in of the day) and sunset... (Also fantastic for making sure that I don't style something that only looks right for some users.)
