@dyana What @kentlew said! Lots that it is off with the Devanagari — the half stem and knot of the द are peculiar; न and ग both feel wide; the space between the र and ी is too small, and the matra, in particular, looks very cramped; the weight of the knots is inconsistent across the word; and the spacing/fitting is very tight. Am I looking at members of the same typeface family? That would make the Devanagari design even more baffling.
