Looking into different drawing tablets that might work on Linux; so far the Wacom Cintiq series is looking pretty promising due to it having open souce drivers baked into most distros, and older models are cheap and accessible.

Huion tablets also apparently largely support Linux but I can't verify anything about their drivers other than the fact that they exist

Update on this: I grabbed a Huion Kamvas Pro 12. Not because it seemed good but because I found one used at a steal of a price and there exist open source drivers for it (albeit not baked into most distros)
