@andrewt they are cheating: metallic iron is cheaper to add and they can write x% iron content on the package, but your body can't absorb it as well as molecular iron

@kranzi ok but it's still there, right? the magnet in the mri scanner doesn't care if the body can absorb it i guess if a cereal says "29mg iron / 100g" it might be that only half of that is magnetic, which would reduce the effet?
