My family was about to walk into a Target in south Florida when two police cars, driving much faster than was safe for a parking lot, pulled up to the front doors. Their lights were off, but my wife and I made eye contact and turned our kids around. Generally speaking, officers of the law exceeding the speed limit is always a “avoid this area” signal for me.
