we've also been guilty of this in the past. we can do better. sometimes the best thing to do is just to leave something be. even if you think you're right. if you give it time maybe you will find that you actually weren't right anyways and you'll save yourself the embarrassment.

the more privileged you are the more likely you are to fall into this, so you should always consider if there's maybe something you're not seeing simply cause you were insulated from it by your relative privilege. this is still true if you are marginalized in one way but privileged in others.
