@djb Hybrid ECC+PQ is quite obviously the only way forward even if a quantum computer exists it would still add to the computational burden a few days or hours. These are resources and consequently money. The push for pure PQC rings all kinds of bells.

@djb When we will have quantum computers that can break ECC and RSA in milliseconds at scale we will also have a better view of which PQC holds up whether against conventional computers (+AI) or/and quantum computers. The future will probably be some hybrid computer.
