@mmasnick +1 for would-love-to-see-you-post-and-be-more-active-here! Also am interested in what has made the conversation better on #bluesky for you. My specific community is more active here for the time being but can understand if there’s a pretty high-quality general tech community on bsky.

@shellsharks @mmasnick It’s probably stuff like this (the reply right above yours) that discourages Mike and many others from being more active here. Masto has a bit of a nag problem, whilst Bsky doesn’t have that kinda thing.

@shellsharks @mmasnick Bluesky’s appeal is that it’s a smaller, close-knit community w/a more personal feel. For now there’s much less interest in political conversations and breaking news, unlike Mastodon. Their emphasis revolves more on social interactions. It’s a smaller platform, still evolving w/new people joining daily. Compared to Mastodon, bsky is a toddler — cute, fun & light. When I want a more intellectual political experience, I come here ☺️

@shellsharks @mmasnick I’m sure there’s a tech community on bsky, but tech doesn’t interest me so I don’t follow it.
