We here don't find busdrivers, even for the country side. There autonome busses could be a big improvement in public transport.
But there are a lots of people who need a job even if it's a small one.
And imagine busses become a place to meet, perhaps someone to talk to, just to share thoughts. A lots of elderly people will get more mobile maybe.
I think there will still be a lot of work in the future, but the jobs will surely change.

@alikatze @duckwhistle The article my dad wrote was about a pilot project using the self-driving busses for routes that are otherwise not served. They also have self-driving taxis for on-demand service if you need a ride home from the nearest station. I see the benefit for areas that get public transport this way. It's not black and white.
