I can't predict the future, but the most likely outcome of all the current factors seems to me like USians will experience something like the collapse of the USSR / living in a post-soviet bloc country like Bulgaria. Or as a more modern example, Libya or one of the many South/Central American countries America has regime-changed and then descended into chaos ("we'll coup whoever we want" for cheap lithium.) America has some resources but post-2016 has been a slow-moving coup.
