I've had this feeling for some years that I've gone "too far in one direction" with my appearance, having been on testosterone for some years and only done "masculinising" therapies, and now having been pretty consistently read as a man by casual observers for a while. I halved my dose of testosterone a year ago and saw some great improvements in how I feel when I look in the mirror and also just feel generally, and now I'm healing a hairline restoration, and like... legit, the way I felt when I saw my hair no longer starting halfway to the back of my head was just as good, if not better, than the way I felt when I got my tits off.
I felt bad about saving up for and purchasing this for a while because, idk, I guess in my social circles it's more okay to make fun of Elon Musk getting this same specific procedure than it is to make fun of someone wanting phalloplasty or something? But now it's done, the "can I justify spending literally all my savings on this" feeling has completely faded. I'm kind of glad I waited 10 years after the problem started to start fixing it because I know this produces a better long-term result, but I am going to be so glad when the long years of looking at myself and going "but this is the result of the transition I wanted, I signed up for this, I need to be okay with it" are over. Even though that's not true, the tools that were available to me 10 years ago were not actually effective for "the transition I wanted" and that's why I need a second round of edits

anyway though now that I understand how this procedure works, wild that nobody has used it to make a giant hair tattoo on their back or something, because the potential of this technology is so much weirder than just returning hairlines to their former state. like seemingly you can take a hair from anywhere on the body and implant it anywhere else if you can keep that new implant zone clean and untouched for a few days

Every transition is a little different. If one is not comfortable with the results of theirs, chances are the transitions is not *quite* the one they wanted, as you note.
Good on you for managing to adjust yours better, even if at a high price (ahem :3). ^^
