The in-laws ISP stated that their IPTV was not working properly because... They need a new HDMI cable...
They got a new one - did it work? Nope!
So they called again - this time, they stated the cause was because they changed the default WiFi name and password... 🤦

Good grief. The Bastard Operator From Hell" (BOFH) really nailed it with their random explanation system back in the 90s. "Why is...?" "Solar flares!" Anything to get them off the phone so the next sucker who picks up when they call back will have to do the work.
