@rosyna it's funny cause it's true, huh! I don't think this M4Pro needs to suppress background tasks but it sure does. However Safari or IINA video playback keeps working properly.
And I'm only playing idle games like Balatro or Spellstruck … I doubt they require the Mac's full attention!

@rosyna via some ai chatbot (microsoft) I am led to believe Firefox uses a weird GPU pipeline which is easily interrupted by this unnecessary "game mode”. I’m only playing like turn-based card games. The Game Mode can be turned off, but the button to do that is hidden.
