I wonder how much they cover actual C++(design) for the C programmers in a week? And the potential safety improvements by the much stronger type system of C++?

@PeterSommerlad None at all - this is all Yocto and BitBake. There's a wide mix of C++ experience in the team from "Up to date to 17" to "No Oop whatsoever", but in the group we have an expert who'll help bring us all up to speed.
