Wolf Link! Because I&#39;ve been playing modded Tears of the Kingdom and the game is actually 10x better when Link is a wolf boy. I&#39;m calling this done and moving on even though I&#39;m not satisfied. The important thing was painting the boyo and a bit of environment in firelight, and I did that, and learned things. Composition is for when I know what I&#39;m doing. I managed to avoid using any multiply layers again though! #Furry #FurryArt

I've tried and failed to paint things with a fire as the light source so many times. I actually used references this time, and spent a lot of time thinking about how to color an object, to come up with a mental process, and I think I have! I was trying to think of an object's base color, the color it reflects when white light is present. Then if I take away white light and replace it with light of one color, what color would that base reflect? Yellow sand? Still very yellow. Green shirt? Make the green more yellow, and its shadow more blue. Purple master sword hilt? Very desaturated gray highlights. I still don't know how to render things in paint, so I'm not bothering making the environment pretty or detailed, but I learned something I wanted to learn. Hopefully it makes it easier to color going forward.
