@Jgbird seeing your work printed, especially in someone else's home or space, is an amazing feeling. I still remember how proud I was to exhibit work locally at the end of my photography A-Level in college. So long as you aren't hurting to pay the bills (I'm coming from a place of privilege here), I'd take that satisfying feeling and keep photography as hobby over making money from my art any day.
