@quinn hear me out: why not make these ‘digital town squares’ be municipality/ publicly run mastodon instances, such that they simply lack all of the negativity of the banned media sites? (I mean the real reason for the ban is to silence young folk now that the internet has ‘matured’, but that’s beside the point)
