@ljs@mastodonapp.uk a favorite maladaptive behavior of many ADHD people is that they place things in ”strange” places and forget it. This is usually the result of an adapted behavior to stay on task. They tend to bring one item with them (as a marker) to not forget what they were up to. Like a screwdriver or such. But when they then need a hand free, they put it down to deal with. And by the time they are back on task the ”marker” is lost. And the last time they used it was on the task. Thus frustrations.
