i think i witnessed the american accent change recently. even i have fallen victim to the pronunciation change. when i was a kid, and very online, i never noticed people saying "dere" instead of "there" but i have noticed that a few years ago i started pronounce it that way too. and i have noticed an increasing number of people over the past 6 years who say it. and i don't think its a social bias for me specifically because none of my closest friends do that, but i notice it constantly in randos. i think its maybe an internet accent thing.
