@earthworm I think the only ones who prefer the machines are the ones who make more money when they don't have to pay staff. I sometimes use the self-checkout if I'm in a hurry or the cashiers are understaffed (often intentionally 😑) but I often buy large quantities of mixed nuts for work and I don't even want to scan all of that myself, what the fuck! At least it's even easier to shoplift at self-check-out... 🤫
