Okay, funny thing about being a climbing trainer (I'm so proud to be able to call myself one. Never would've thought that I'd be a certified trainer, but I didn't think a lot of things of myself): People ask me all the time what kind of equipment I recommend. And my answer is always quite simple and - in a way - funy. Yesterday I was asked what shoes I recommend (from a person who doesn't know much about sports climbing). I said "Shoes that fit". When people ask me about belay devices I say "The one you can control, but please don't use a Tube except for rappelling." When people ask me about climbing harnesses my answer is "The one with the leo print! But that one is only for kids"
