@jimgar I also started learning Japanese over a decade ago. And now I live in Japan and speak it every day 😎

@adam I don’t think I’d like to live in China (never say never), especially as my wife is brown and she already feels like she sticks out too much at times in the UK. But I think a visit one day would be interesting. My stepmum is from there, so I think I’d be able to make use of hospitality from extended family. I’ve always admired your Japanese skills. Once or twice you’ve posted about Japanese people on the phone realising you’re a foreigner only when hearing your name. That’s an amazing level of proficiency!
