I wrote a custom iOS app for my home and now it won’t launch. I’m assuming because Apple sets an arbitrary time limit on how long non-app store apps are allowed to exist? Guess I’ll put the app that controls my home on the App Store, then. 🤦🏼‍♂️ I fucking hate this company.

@me1000 I side load stuff like this through AltStore. Only have to reload once per year. I'm really hoping this gets resolved legally at some point.

@me1000 yep it's about 7 days when using a free Apple developer account, and about 1 year if using a paid Apple developer account. It sucks

I've decided to give the fascist bootlicker's $99 to avoid this once a week bullshit. But seriously, fuck this company for not letting me run my own software on a personal computer I spent $1200 on. Also signing up for a paid account is somehow still as god awful as it was when I first did it like 15 years ago. I'd be deeply embarrassed if I worked anywhere near this. Can't pay with ApplePay, still has to go through some manual review process, cryptic message for why I can't update my address.
