@Larvitz gen4 amd is precisely the model I was thinking about for the past week. It seems to be a very nice sweet spot of just about everything.

@darth A year and a half ago, I would not have suggested it (bad bad power management situation). But since Linux 6.17 and especially 6.18, all the quirks are fixed and even with the power hungty 2,8K OLED panel, it now holds very long and the amd_pstate driver for that model made HUGE improvements in the past versions. Now, with current Linux, it's pretty much my sweet spot!
