Middle schoolers are jerks.
My daughter likes bugs and kids have learned this. So someone squished bugs and gave them to her today. She was really upset by it and I don't know how to console her.
"Yes, kiddo, your classmates are jerks. I'm sorry that happened," is about all I've got.

@julie@merida.hair I’m sorry too. Poor darling girl. Maybe this is a time to discuss red flags with her? Most people are pretty nice - most people also have something about them that isn’t that nice.
