Hospice is not the same thing as assisted suicide though

True. But Hospice is generally required to get to assisted suicide tho. Or at least, it was when my dad finally got to die. The normal doctor wouldn’t do it, the hospital didnt allow it except for in hospice. And then we had to fight for a week to get the hospice doctor to let him die.
